The first week-end in April was the Nebraska Home School Conference. Esther, Noah, Tabitha and I had the privilege of serving as staff in the Children's Conference that ran concurrently with the parents conference.
Noah, Tabitha and I were on teams, but Esther spent her time in the kitchen preparing meals for the staff. As always, her cooking got rave reviews!!
Mmmmm......fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast!!
Tabitha and I got to assist Esther in the kitchen early in the morning (and I do mean early!)!! Tabitha was our expert cookie-baker!! :)
During main group the children learned songs, memorized Bible verses and watched exciting scenes from the 8-part drama!
Rachel leading the songs during main group.
The drama, entitled "The Legacy" involved five orphaned children who loose their Grandmother and move in with their Aunt Bessie. During the move, they discover a locket and their parents journal, which tells of a hidden treasure left to them by their parents. So they embark on a journey to find their inheritance; a journey which takes them through Germany, Holland, Italy and France.
Throughout their travels they have many exciting adventures, and they learn many precious lessons about wisdom.
In the end, they find the treasure, not just money, but special keepsakes from their parents, letters and their family Bible.
