The last Friday in August found us once more entering the gates at Worlds of Fun in KC. The Stangl family was down in Kansas for a visit- their youngest four joined Mom at home, while we older 5 joined them at Worlds of Fun. We had a wonderful day running from ride to ride with them. Although thunderstorms were predicted throughout the day, the showers held off until we exited the park- then there was a downpour as we ran for the van!!
Unfortunately our camera decided to take a break and wouldn't operate from the first moment we stepped into the park. But, thanks to Mrs. Stangl, we have some pictures to share!! :)

Wow, looks like you guys had fun together!!
Is Worlds of Fun one of the Great America parks?? Last week we went to one that looks just like where you guys were!! It was a BLAST!! Except I'm really really afraid of heights, so some of the rides were really scary. Like the Giant Drop - you get raised up 200 feet in the air, and then all of a sudden they drop you down and within 2 seconds you're back on the ground!! SUPER SCARY!!!!!! I'm hoping to put pictures up sometime soon!
p.s. I LOVE the picture of you on the wildcat ride!! looks like you were a little nervous!

Nervous?? I was petrified!! Scared-silly! It took a LOT of nerve to get on the really high roller coasters because I am NOT good with heights. On this one we started to climb and we got a third of the way to the top and I asked, "We're at the top, right?!?!" Of course, I had my eyes closed tightly!! And you have to scream really loudly too!! It helps a lot.
