Oh! Those biscuits look delicious don't they?!?!
Esther is a fantastic cook. She is the ultimate master in the kitchen. There is nothing better then sitting down to a meal made by Esther. Her cooking mistakes can be counted with two fingers. This is a great example to me, for a list of my cooking blunders would accumulate my longest post ever. :) But mistakes happen to the best of us. Unfortunately, baking soda doesn't work too well with our biscuit recipe. The name of our recipe is 'Baking Powder Biscuits' appropriately so, we have discovered! Just another reason to keep a good supply of bread in the house. And now we'll need three fingers when we talk about Esther's cooking! :)

They look good!!
Yes, they do look good...but 'never judge a biscuit by it's cover'!! :)
It's funny because Esther has made biscuits for years and they are always SOOO good, but this time she had a little mix-up!
Okay, Elizabeth, here is a post! :P
I'm not going to tease Essie about the mistake. I know what it's like. Is it such a "big" mistake to put in three Tablespoons of salt in stead of three teaspoons?
Kristen once messed up her batch once... I think they turned blue! :P
I'll e-mail soon! Here are hugs for you, Essie, and TT! :D
God bless,

Oofta! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does dumb things in the kitchen every now and then. My worst-ever blunder was watching in horror as one by one my chocolate chip cookies burst into flame behind the glass oven door.
LOL, I'm sure the birds would enjoy, wouldn't they?
My thing about the kitchen is burning my breads. Once it goes in the oven, I seem to forget about it. On those rare occassions that I DO make good bread, my kids don't know what to do with it. They get confused when there's not black stuff to scrape off. LOL

Lol! They look good though... :)
I can't even remember all the times I've made a huge mess out of biscuits! lol
Oh, I am afraid I have had many such kitchen calamities!!!
Maybe Esther had alot on her mind... she must have been very preoccupied! Thanks so much for this funny post, Elizabeth!
You too, Esther? I did the exact same thing, only with shortbread, last summer!
My mouth is watering at the thought of fresh strawberries this summer...m-m-m-m....
they sure look a lot better than i get to eat here in the army!
Ever tried to cook a roast at 25 °F ? It wasn't until months later I realized that was below zero:-( My hair color had nothing to do with that! Honest! It was good to see you and Esther at NCHEA
